WIR-Expo Zurich Organization with a lot of overview. For more than 15 years, Roland Hartmann has organized the WIR trade fair in Zurich as trade fair manager. The organization behind the scenes, but also the fair presence itself, is adjusted every year and meets the current challenges of being able to continue to exist as a major event in the stagnating fair market.

Organizing a trade fair is a very extensive task and keeps us busy almost all year round. Before the event is also after the event! We have been able to organize this trade fair as trade fair management since 2006 and are now responsible for the overall organization, exhibitor acquisition, planning and implementation, on-site assembly and dismantling, communication and advertising, website and social media maintenance, the Creation of all printed matter and the entire trade fair newspaper. But also for the content and gastronomic concept, the on-site events and special events may be newly developed every year.

While the 2006 sales fair was organized by a team of seven, today only two or four people are strategically involved in the implementation. The original major event with 330 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors has now shrunk to around 150 exhibitors with 9,000 visitors. Digitization is also well advanced here. Nevertheless, the WIR trade fair with the network idea behind it is still the largest event of an SME business network in Switzerland and therefore a perfect meeting place where individual exhibitors can generate a lot of sales and visitors can do their shopping.

A comprehensive rebranding was carried out for the WIR-Expo 2020 (which unfortunately could not take place during the Corona epidemic).
